36 of 45 Russian drones shot down over Ukraine overnight
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 45 drones of various types overnight into Wednesday, with Ukrainian air defenses neutralizing 36 of them, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW), and drone units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 9:00 a.m. indicates that air defenses shot down or suppressed 36 Shahed drones and decoy drones across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Nine drones struck three locations, and debris fell at one additional site.
