Ukraine’s military intelligence targets Russian missile ship in Azov Sea

On Thursday, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense conducted an attack on a Russian Buyan-M project 21631 small missile ship in the Sea of Azov, according to a DIU statement on Facebook.
In a joint operation, the Defense Intelligence’s Active Operations Department and the DIU’s Ghosts special unit targeted the Russian missile ship, a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, near temporarily occupied Crimea.
Fighters from the Ghosts unit used an aerial drone to damage the ship’s radar station, while special forces from the Active Operations Department struck the vessel itself.
As a result of the attacks, the Russian missile ship, which was positioned in the Temryuk Bay for potential Kalibr missile launches, sustained damage and was forced to abandon its combat patrol area.
Additionally, overnight, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck Russia’s Afipsky and Kuibyshev oil refineries and targeted several Russian logistics facilities.
