Ukrainian forces liberate Udachne village in Donetsk Oblast
Soldiers of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skala” cleared and liberated the village of Udachne in Donetsk Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Tuesday.
The General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops destroyed all Russian strongholds in the village. Over two weeks, assault groups methodically cleared the area house by house, ultimately raising the Ukrainian flag over Udachne.
On Monday Ukrainian forces also liberated the village of Novoekonomichne in Donetsk Oblast and raised the Ukrainian flag there.
On August 24, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukraine’s Defense Forces cleared three other Donetsk villages—Mikhailivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Volodymyrivka—from Russian troops.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces regained control over most of the village of Tovste, near Zelenyi Hai, and raised the Ukrainian flag there.
