Ukraine's air defenses down 84 Russian drones, hits recorded at 17 locations

Overnight into Thursday, Russian forces launched 112 Shahed attack drones and various decoy drones targeting Ukraine, with air defenses neutralizing 84 enemy targets, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The drones were launched from Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiyske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As a result of defensive operations, 84 enemy Shahed drones and decoy drones were neutralized across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Military reports confirmed that 28 attack drones struck 17 locations, with debris from downed targets falling at five additional sites.

The attack impacted Odesa, where, according to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out in a warehouse and a truck was damaged.

Russian forces also struck Kharkiv Oblast, specifically targeting settlements in the Chuhuyiv and Lozova districts. The State Emergency Service reported that fires erupted, injuring five people.
