Russian drone debris damages Kyiv trolleybus network after overnight attack
Russian drones targeted Kyiv overnight into Friday, with debris damaging trolleybus lines and an unexploded device found in one district, the city’s state and military administrations reported.
Drone debris from a downed UAV, according to preliminary reports, fell at several locations in the city. In particular, on a roadway in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The trolleybus network was damaged.
In the same district, an unexploded enemy drone was found. Specialists are working at the site.
The Kyiv City Military Administration warned that, due to the nighttime attack, there may be disruptions in card payments and ticket validation at turnstiles of the funicular and light rail stations.
This is because the Russian attack damaged the channel connecting to the telecommunications operator providing services to the Kyivpastrans municipal company. As a result, the company’s official website is temporarily down.
If payment or validation at turnstiles does not work, passengers are advised to validate their tickets inside the trams.
