Debris from downed drones damaged a thermal power plant in the Russian city of Oryol, causing temporary blackouts and restrictions on heat and hot water supplies, regional governor Andrey Klychkov reported.

Klychkov said fragments fell onto the facility's grounds, harming power equipment, though no fire broke out and no one was injured. Repairs began immediately, with a switch to backup lines restoring electricity to nearly all areas.

However, heat and hot water will be limited in parts of the city, as the debris also affected a main pipeline from the plant.

"Restoration work will be completed by tonight. An operational team is monitoring until full heat supply resumes to all facilities," Klychkov wrote on social media.

Russian Telegram channels posted videos purportedly showing the moment of impact at the Oryol TPP.

Separately, the Astra Telegram channel reported another electrical substation struck in a village near the city of Vladimir, following explosions there.

Vladimir Oblast Governor Alexander Avdeev confirmed an "attack on infrastructure near the city of Vladimir" but said "all systems are operating normally."
