Ukrainian forces withdrew to more advantageous positions near Rivnopillia in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on Tuesday evening amid intense Russian fire, but enemy advances have been halted with heavy casualties inflicted, Southern Defense Forces reported.

The repositioning to more advantageous lines occurred on Tuesday evening due to "comprehensive fire impact" on Ukrainian positions.

Fierce fighting continues in Zaporizhzhia Oblast overall. On the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole axes, the enemy persists with massive shelling, intensifying assault actions near the settlements of Pryvilne, Zelenyi Hai, Rivnopillia, Pavlivka, Vorone, Stepove and Novopavlivske.

At the same time, Southern Defense Forces say Russian troops are suffering heavy losses. On November 11 alone, Ukrainian fighters eliminated 58 enemy soldiers, with over 30 more Russians wounded.

"Enemy advance has been stopped. Actions continue to block and comprehensively strike them. Fierce fighting also persists on other sections of the contact line on these axes," Southern Defense Forces added.

On Tuesday, Southern Defense Forces spokesman Vladyslav Voloshyn reported that Ukrainian troops were forced to withdraw from areas near Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka and Novomykolaivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At the same time, he said intense battles continue for Rivnopillia, Solodke and Yablukove.

Later, Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi confirmed that occupiers increased activity in Zaporizhzhia province, advanced and captured three settlements.
