Russians attack Ukraine with 145 drones, targeting Odesa Oblast

Russian troops launched 145 drones across Ukrainian regions overnight into Monday. Air defense forces neutralized 126 of them, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.

About 90 of the aerial targets were Shahed drones, with the rest being Gerbera drones and UAVs of other types. They were launched from Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea and occupied Donetsk.

The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 8:30 a.m., air defense had downed or suppressed 126 drones.

There were confirmed hits by 13 strike drones at 12 locations, as well as falls of downed drones (debris) at five locations.

Consequences of the attack

According to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper, Russian forces again targeted Odesa Oblast with strike drones. The attacks caused damage to residential, energy and gas infrastructure. One person was injured.

In the Odesa district, a drone struck a multi-story residential building. Two apartments, the building facade, and nearby private vehicles were damaged. A critical infrastructure facility was also hit.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the Synelnykove district came under attack. Infrastructure, vehicles and a gas pipeline were damaged. Nikopol district was shelled by Russian artillery, the regional military administration reported.
