Russian troops attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 171 strike drones overnight into Monday, with air defenses destroying or suppressing 157 UAVs while hits were recorded at eight locations, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.

The assault involved mostly Iranian-designed Shahed drones — 100 in total — along with Gerbera, Italmas and other UAV types. The drones were launched from Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia and occupied Donetsk, while the ballistic missile came from occupied Crimea.

Ukraine’s air defenses — including aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups — countered the attack.

As of 9 a.m., preliminary data showed 157 drones downed or suppressed across northern, southern and eastern regions.

Impacts were confirmed from the ballistic missile and 12 strike drones at eight sites.
