Russian sabotage groups totaling 40-50 troops remain active in the city of Kupyansk in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast, where Ukrainian forces are conducting counter-sabotage operations and inflicting constant losses on the enemy, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi told journalists on Friday.

The overall situation on the Kupyansk axis remains unchanged.

“Despite yet another claim by the leadership of Russia’s armed forces that Kupyansk is supposedly under their control, the real situation has not changed,” he said.

The battlefield is complicated by the enemy’s widespread use of fiber-optic-controlled drones capable of operating at distances of 30 kilometers or more.
