Russian forces launched six missiles of various types and 62 attack drones at Ukraine overnight into Monday, with Ukraine’s air defenses shooting down or suppressing two Zircon anti-ship missiles and 52 drones, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The assault, which began after 6 p.m. on Sunday and continued until morning, included:

  • Four Zircon anti-ship missiles fired from temporarily occupied Crimea;
  • One Iskander-M ballistic missile from Russia’s Bryansk Oblast;
  • One Kh-31P guided aviation missile from the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
  • 62 strike drones — including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types — launched from multiple Russian airfields (Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk) and Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea. About 40 of the drones were Shahed models.

Ukraine’s defenses — involving fighter aircraft, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups — countered the attack.

As of 9 a.m. on Monday, preliminary data showed two Zircon missiles downed or suppressed, along with 52 drones.

One missile and nine drones struck eight locations, while debris from downed threats fell at two sites. Information on the remaining three missiles is still being clarified.
