129 Russian drones downed in massive overnight attack

Overnight into Wednesday, Russia launched 149 strike UAVs at Ukraine. Defenders managed to neutralize most of the targets, according to Ukraine’s Air Force Command.

About 100 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., air defense neutralized 129 Russian UAVs of Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types in the north, south and east of the country.

19 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 15 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at one location.

Aftermath of the attack

Russian troops carried out 60 strikes on 30 settlements in Sumy Oblast throughout March 3, killing a 48-year-old man and wounding another man, police reported.

In Kherson Oblast, 15 people were wounded during the day due to Russian strikes, including two children, the regional military administration said.

Russian troops attacked more than 10 times with drones and artillery the Kamyanske, Synelnykove, Samar and Nikopol districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; infrastructure was damaged, with no information about casualties, the regional administration stated.
