Russian drone strikes train in Mykolaiv, injuring railway worker

A Russian drone struck an empty passenger train undergoing maintenance in Mykolaiv early on Wednesday, injuring a Ukrainian Railways employee, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba and Ukrainian Railways reported.
The worker received medical assistance.

In addition, on Tuesday evening, Russia attempted to attack with a drone a passenger train on the Dnipro–Kovel route. Railway workers quickly stopped the train and evacuated passengers. As a result the drone struck a few meters from the locomotive. No one was injured. Once the threat passed, the train continued its journey.
Russian attacks on the railway
Since the beginning of March, Russian troops have attacked the railway 18 times — an average of six strikes per day.
Since the start of the month, 41 Ukrainian Railways facilities have been damaged. Among the main targets are rolling stock, with damage recorded to 17 units. Locomotives, freight cars and specialized equipment used for infrastructure repair also came under fire.
This month, Russians have attacked railway depots and bridges as well. The heaviest attacks have occurred near the frontline.
On March 2, in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a Russian drone struck one of the cars of a suburban train in motion. One person was killed as a result.
On January 27, Russia struck with drones a passenger train on the Chop–Barvinkove route in Kharkiv Oblast, killing six people.
