Russian forces attempt border breach in Kharkiv Oblast
Russian forces attempted to breach Ukraine’s state border and attack Ukrainian positions near the villages of Zybyne and Kruhle in Kharkiv Oblast on Tuesday, the Joint Forces Grouping reported.
Ukrainian defenders inflicted fire damage on the hostile assault groups on the South Slobozhanskyi axis.
On the Velykyi Burluk axis, the Russian army continues to accumulate forces and means to resume offensive actions. On the Kupyansk axis, they unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense toward Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, and Kurylivka.
On the Lyman axis, the Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions toward the settlements of Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, and Lyman.
Overall during the past day, units of the Joint Forces Grouping neutralized 17 enemy attacks.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, enemy forces carried out five airstrikes using 15 aerial bombs, conducted 152 shellings including five with multiple launch rocket systems.
Across the entire front during the past day 144 combat engagements were recorded. Russian troops launched one missile strike using one missile, 74 airstrikes dropping 255 guided aerial bombs, deployed 8,445 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,453 shellings of settlements and positions including 94 with multiple launch rocket systems.
