2 killed, 9 wounded in Russian attacks on Sumy Oblast
Two men were killed and nine others wounded in Russian drone and artillery attacks on 31 settlements in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast on Monday, Ukraine’s National Police reported.
Russian forces continued targeting civilian objects with drones. In the Sadivska territorial community, a drone strike hit a grain truck, killing a 40-year-old man. In the Velykopysarivska community, a drone struck a motorcycle, killing a 48-year-old man.
In the Sumy community, men aged 39, 43 and 51 and women aged 30 and 56 were wounded, while a 67-year-old man was injured by explosives dropped from a Russian UAV. In the Shostka community, a 46-year-old man and woman were wounded in drone attacks. In the Richkivska community, a 61-year-old man was injured.
Overall, Russian forces targeted residential homes, energy infrastructure, vehicles, transformers, railway tracks and power lines. Police investigative teams and explosives experts are working at the impact sites.
