Dozens of European politicians travel to Ukraine to honor memory of people killed by Russians in Bucha
Almost 30 representatives from European countries and the European Union arrived in Ukraine on March 31 to pay tribute to the people murdered by Russian troops in Bucha, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reported.
“Today, alongside my EU colleagues, we visited Bucha and honored the memory of those brutally murdered by Russian invaders. Standing here, we felt with every fiber that the future and security of all Europe are being decided right here, on Ukrainian soil. Bucha is a symbol of Russian atrocities, but it is also a testament to Ukrainian resilience. It was from here four years ago that the liberation of our lands began,” said Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
The minister stressed that Ukraine is working persistently with the Special Tribunal, the Register of Damage, and the Claims Commission “to. ensure no crime goes unpunished.”
The European politicians will hold an informal off-site meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
“During our special EU ministerial meeting today, we will focus on the battlefield situation, energy security, and Ukraine’s path to the EU,” Sybiha said.
