Over a dozen killed, more than 80 injured in massive Russian overnight attack on Ukraine

Russian forces carried out a massive combined drone and missile attack on Ukraine overnight into Thursday, killing more than a dozen people — including a 12-year-old boy in Kyiv — and injuring over 80 others.

Kyiv

Russian troops hit several high-rise buildings in Kyiv.

In the Podilskyi district, a non-residential building was hit; debris fell in several locations. In one of them, in a residential building, a fire broke out on the first floor. In another high-rise building, windows were damaged. There was also a missile debris hit the 6th floor of a 16-story residential building.

In addition, debris partially destroyed a three-story mini-hotel building and damaged nearby houses.

Rescuers pulled a child and a woman from the rubble of a private residential building and handed them over to medics.

Damage was also recorded in the Obolonskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Desnianskyi districts.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, four people died in the capital, including a 12-year-old boy. 45 people were injured (according to the State Emergency Service, 48), 26 of whom were hospitalized. The rest were treated on the spot and on an outpatient basis (including two children).

Odesa Oblast

The city of Odesa has experienced several waves of attacks with missiles and strike drones. Eight people are known to have died, 16 more people were injured, they are being provided with all necessary medical assistance.

Port, critical and residential infrastructure facilities were damaged. In particular, a residential building in the Khadzhybeyskyi district, and the blast wave also broke out more than 300 windows in several buildings. In addition, damage was recorded in one of the parks in the Prymorskyi district.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Two people were killed and 30 others were injured in a nighttime enemy attack on the city of Dnipro. 14 of the injured are currently in hospital, five of them in serious condition.

In total, three people were killed and 34 others were injured in the region as a result of Russian attacks over the past 24 hours.

Mykolaiv Oblast

The attack in the town of Novyi Buh injured a family — a 36-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, and the couple's 8-year-old son, who suffered an acute stress reaction. The entire family was hospitalized. In addition, eight houses in the town were damaged.

Kharkiv Oblast

The aggressor attacked Kharkiv with strike UAVs. In the Nemyshlianskyi district, a 66-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were injured as a result of an enemy strike.
