A Ukrainian drone struck a high-rise apartment building on Mosfilmovskaya Street in Moscow in the early hours on Monday, about six kilometers from the Kremlin, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported.

No casualties were reported from the impact. Sobyanin later added that Russian air defenses downed two more drones heading toward the capital.

"Emergency services specialists are working at the site of the debris fall ," he noted.

In Samara Oblast, authorities closed the airspace and declared a “Carpet” protocol as drones reportedly targeted the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, with explosions reported in the area.

Blasts and fires were also noted in the occupied city of Alchevsk in Luhansk Oblast.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously stated that the parade on May 9 will take place without military equipment . This was explained by the "current operational situation".

Earlier, Russian media spread information about the alleged cancellation of the traditional military parade due to Ukraine's new long-range missiles. The Kremlin assured that the celebration would take place.
