A Russian drone struck the dry cargo vessel ANT, sailing under a Vanuatu flag with Turkish ownership, setting the ship ablaze. Ukraine's Navy helped contain the fire, according to a statement published on Telegram.

The vessel was transporting cargo from a port in Odesa Oblast to Türkiye when the drone struck the ship's superstructure, sparking the fire.

Units from the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and the Ukrainian Navy worked to contain the blaze. Two injured crew members were quickly evacuated by Navy patrol boats and taken to a medical facility for treatment.

"Russia continues to deliberately threaten international maritime shipping by targeting civilian infrastructure and commercial vessels," the Ukrainian Navy said.
