Russian forces launched a mass overnight attack with ballistic missiles and drones on several regions of Ukraine on Tuesday, killing at least eight people in Dnipro and injuring dozens more across the country, according to local authorities.

The attacks hit the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, and Kharkiv oblasts, among others.

In Dnipro, Russian strikes partially destroyed apartment buildings and damaged a business, a fire station and garages, while destroying vehicles. Thirty-three people were injured, including a 22-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman in serious condition. Twenty-four people, including a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were hospitalized in moderate condition.

Authorities also said Russia struck the city again while emergency crews were working at the scene, killing a rescuer.

Eight people were confirmed dead in Dnipro, including a 73-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man who had been hospitalized in serious condition and later died.

Elsewhere in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in Kamyanske, an administrative building and apartment buildings were damaged. Three people were injured — a 50-year-old man and women aged 49 and 72 — and were taken to the hospital in moderate condition. Apartment buildings and private homes were also damaged in the Nikopol district.

In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian attacks damaged apartment buildings and private homes. Utility structures, garages, vehicles and other civilian sites also caught fire in Kharkiv city and in the Barvinkove, Donets, Merefa and Vysokyi territorial communities.

At least 14 people were reported injured in the region, including an 11-year-old girl.

In Kyiv Oblast, the aftermath of the Russian attack was recorded in four districts, where three people were injured.

The heaviest damage was in the Bucha district, where three private homes, logistics and warehouse facilities, other nonresidential buildings and six trucks were damaged. One man suffered a cut to the thigh and was hospitalized.

Private homes were also damaged in the Fastiv and Obukhiv districts. In the Vyshhorod district, two apartment buildings and a private household were damaged.

In Sumy, Russian forces struck a residential area of the city. In the Zarichnyi district, a drone hit an apartment building, causing smoke. In the Kovpakivskyi district, a drone hit a private home, setting the roof on fire. No casualties were reported there.

In Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, Russian forces launched at least 20 strikes using different types of weapons. Four apartment buildings in the city’s Shevchenkivskyi district were damaged, but no casualties were reported.

In Poltava Oblast, drone and missile strikes were recorded in the Lubny district. A private business was damaged, and a missile landed near private homes, damaging houses and utility buildings. One person was injured and received medical treatment.

In Chernihiv Oblast, Russian attacks set a lyceum and warehouse buildings on fire. A 15-year-old boy was injured.

The strikes came after a separate overnight Russian attack on Kyiv, where officials earlier reported four people killed and 58 injured, including children, after ballistic missile and drone strikes damaged residential buildings in several districts of the capital.
