Nizhnekamsk, in Russia's Tatarstan, was attacked by drones on Friday. All mass gatherings in the city were cancelled amid the drone threat, says the head of the Nizhnekamsk district, Radmir Belyaev, and Telegram channels.

According to him, the threat of drone attacks in the area remains. Belyaev claims that all services are working in an emergency mode, and the situation is supposedly “under constant control”.

As reported by Telegram channels, the Nizhnekamskneftekhim petrochemical plant was under attack.

The governor of Russia’s Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, also reported on the drone threat. He claims that there are no casualties or injuries.

The Russian Defence Ministry said that overnight on June 12, 231 drones were shot down over 16 regions of Russia.
