Ukrainian drones struck nine more tankers from Russia's "shadow fleet" overnight into July 8, bringing the total to 21 vessels, including 19 fuel tankers, hit over 72 hours, said Robert "Magyar" Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

The previous night, drones struck eight tankers from Russia's "shadow fleet," which were identified as the Venera-3, Sanar-1, Sanar-17, Klimena, Teti, Alexey Savrasov, Penelopa and one additional vessel whose type is still being confirmed.

Over the past 72 hours, Ukrainian forces have struck 21 vessels in total — 19 shadow fleet tankers, one dry cargo ship, and one ferry in Kerch.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces struck 53 military targets overnight in temporarily occupied Crimea and in occupied territories of southern Ukraine.

Brovdi said the strikes were carried out by pilots from the Kairos Battalion of the 414th Separate Brigade "Magyar’s Birds", along with the 413th Separate Raid Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the 1st Unmanned Systems Forces Center.

Rostov Oblast Gov. Yuri Slusar earlier reported that drones had damaged two tankers in the Taganrog Bay, though he claimed the vessels were not carrying fuel at the time.
