Combat divers destroy Russian Su-24 at Saky air base before combat takeoff (VIDEO)

Combat divers from Ukraine’s National Guard destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber at the Saky military airfield in occupied Crimea, according to NGU Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko.
The operation was carried out by the Omega Special Purpose Center of the National Guard.
At the moment the aircraft was preparing for a combat sortie to launch more strikes on Ukraine, Omega strike drones hit the target, he said.
The first drone struck the nose section of the Su-24M. A second drone delivered a follow-up hit near the fuel tanks, causing the aircraft’s final destruction.
“This result is further confirmation that the National Guard of Ukraine is systematically expanding its ability to use strike drone systems at significant operational depth,” Pivnenko said.
He added that units of the National Guard’s 1st Corps, Azov, and 2nd Corps “Khartiia”, are also effectively carrying out combat missions at ranges of more than 100 kilometers. Their main targets include logistics routes, ammunition depots, command posts, air defense systems, troop clusters and enemy aircraft.
“Every destroyed aircraft, ammunition depot or command post means fewer opportunities for the enemy to wage war. … The work continues. The list of the enemy’s priority targets is constantly being updated,” Pivnenko said.
