Ukrainian forces carried out long-range strikes on oil infrastructure in Russia’s Rostov and Yaroslavl oblasts and in Udmurtia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces struck an export terminal in Rostov Oblast located about 250 kilometers from the front line. Deep strikes were also carried out against oil facilities in Yaroslavl Oblast.

In addition, Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully attacked oil-related targets in the Udmurt Republic, more than 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border, he added.

The president described the strikes as part of Ukraine’s plan of “long-range sanctions,” aimed at reducing Russia’s ability to finance the war.

“I thank our warriors of Ukraine’s Defense Forces for their precise work in areas that, until quite recently, were deep in the Russian rear. Through our responses, we are bringing the war back to Russia so that, ultimately, a dignified peace has a chance,” Zelenskyy said.
