Drones attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl, where a fire broke out as regional authorities described the strike as the “most massive” drone attack yet on the region, according to Governor Mikhail Yevraev.

According to the official, Russian air defenses shot down 92 drones, while falling debris damaged private homes and apartment buildings.

Telegram channels reported that the Yaroslavl refinery had been among the targets.

The refinery in Yaroslavl, Slavneft-YANOS, is one of the biggest in Russia, processing about 15 million tons of oil a year.

It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, lubricants, and other products used, among other things, to support Russian military logistics.
