Death toll from Russian bombing of Ukraine aid distribution site rises to 29, with 48 missing

The death toll from Russian airstrikes on a humanitarian aid distribution site and a shelter in Komyshuvakha, southeastern Ukraine, has risen to 29, with another 48 people still missing, regional officials said on November 3.
Five people were injured in the November 2 attack on the settlement in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and search and rescue operations are continuing, regional military administration head Mykhailo Semikin said.
Regional Defense Council head Ivan Fedorov said Russian forces used FAB-3000 aerial bombs to strike people who had gathered to receive humanitarian aid.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian aircraft initially struck a school where residents received weekly humanitarian aid deliveries. Russian forces then launched nine more aerial bombs at a shelter where people had taken refuge.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported on November 2 that two rescue workers and four police officers were among the first 24 confirmed dead.
The death toll had reached 26 by Monday evening before rising to 29 on Tuesday morning.
The reported casualty figures and circumstances of the attack have not been independently verified.
