Ukraine’s allies at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein-format) meeting in Brussels on Thursday pledged nearly $38 billion in defense aid, with the bulk directed toward air defense systems, UAVs, and interceptor drones, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced after the session.

After the meeting concluded, the defense ministers of the United Kingdom, Germany and Ukraine — John Healey, Boris Pistorius and Mykhailo Fedorov — spoke to reporters. Healey said allies would allocate $35 billion to Ukraine, calling it the highest level of support.

The U.K. defense secretary also recalled that his country is prepared to provide 500 million pounds (nearly $700 million) for air defense systems, “which is a priority for President Zelenskyy.”

Pistorius said Germany would support Ukraine with 11.5 billion euros in 2026. He added that Berlin would transfer long-range drones. Pistorius noted that Germany is ready to provide five PAC-3 interceptor missiles if other allies agree to contribute 30 more.

Overall, Pistorius said Ukraine needs $60 billion for its defense in 2026.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said the partners present discussed new contributions to the PURL program for purchasing critically needed air defense assets, funding for Ukrainian drones and missiles, development of joint defense projects and cooperation in the defense industry.

Fedorov also announced “strong contributions” from partners to Ukraine’s defense.
