Russian drone hits Kyiv high-rise, injuring at least 6
A Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district on Sept. 9, injuring at least six people, local authorities said.
The drone hit the building around the 11th and 12th floors, causing a fire and damaging walls on the 12th floor, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Three of the injured were hospitalized. A pregnant woman was among those hurt, Kyiv police said.
Russian strikes also hit other locations in Kyiv overnight, including in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts. Two trucks and a nearby garage caught fire at one site, while a two-story non-residential building burned at another. No casualties were reported in those strikes.
In the wider Kyiv Oblast, Russian attacks over the past 24 hours killed two people and injured seven others, including two children.
Damage was reported in five districts of the region, with 31 sites affected, including 11 private homes, two apartment buildings, five industrial and warehouse facilities, and 12 vehicles.
