Two soldiers killed, five rescuers injured as a result of explosions in Mykolaiv
As a result of the unknown explosive devices detonating on the evening of April 24 in Mykolaiv, two soldiers were killed and five rescuers were injured, reported the State Bureau of Investigation.
As preliminarily established by the law enforcement officers, the military in the parking lot carelessly transferred ammunition from one car to another. Then the detonation happened.
As a result of the explosion, two soldiers were killed and two more were wounded. Cars that were near the epicenter of the explosion also caught fire.
Rescuers went to the scene of the blaze. But during the extinguishing, there was another explosion, which injured five rescuers who came to the call.
So far, the SBI has opened criminal proceedings over violations of the rules for handling weapons (Part 3 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
