Explosions were reported across Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine overnight into Tuesday, while the Russian-installed head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Evgeny Balitsky, said air defenses were active near occupied Melitopol and an energy infrastructure facility in southern Zaporizhzhia Oblast was damaged, according to local Telegram channels.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected any notion of exchanging uncontested parts of Donbas for Russian-occupied border areas in the Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts, saying such a trade is impossible and unacceptable during a conversation with journalists on Monday.
