Drones strike Kushchevskaya airfield, accommodating dozens of Russian aircraft
Overnight the Ukrainian military and special forces attacked the military airfield Kushchevskaya and the Slaviansky refinery, both located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, a source in the special services told hromadske.
According to our source, the affected airfield was home to dozens of different aircraft that attack Ukrainian positions at the front: Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, MiG-29.
The Security Service of Ukraine engaged the airfield together with the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian army, our interlocutor said.
In addition, an oil refinery in the city of Slaviansk-na-Kubani came under attack, which stopped its work after several hits. The Russians are now assessing the damage.
This is the second SBU drone attack on the Kushchevskaya military airfield and the Slaviansky refinery in the last three weeks. The previous time, several planes were struck at the airfield, and the rectification and atmospheric columns were hit at the refinery.
