Russian massive attack kills four in Kyiv, hits Ternopil, Lutsk

Russian forces launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine overnight into Friday, killing four in Kyiv, including three rescuers, and causing widespread damage in Ternopil and Lutsk, local authorities reported.
Kyiv
In Kyiv, the attack caused damage in several districts. In the Solomyanskyi district, debris from a Russian drone damaged an apartment building, causing a fire. According to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city's military administration, the Russians hit an educational institution.
In the Holosiyivskyi district, debris fell on a civilian infrastructure facility, also causing a fire. The attack damaged an area near a gas station.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell on open ground. Local authorities later clarified that a fire also occurred on the upper floors of an apartment building in this district, and two cars were damaged.
Additionally, a fire broke out in a non-residential area of the Shevchenkivskyi district, and drone debris fell in the Darnytskyi district.
The attack damaged metro tracks and cables between the "Darnytsia" and "Livoberezhna" stations. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the ground-level part of the stations "Dnipro" to "Lisova" would be temporarily closed for entry and exit.
Repairs to the damage are expected to be completed within a day. Meanwhile, bus route No. 1M has been organized to duplicate the metro route.
The attack also damaged railway tracks in Kyiv Oblast, according to Ukrainian Railways. As a result, several trains on the Trypillia route will follow an alternate route through Fastiv without stopping at Vydubychi station, with possible delays of up to 90 minutes.
Overall, the Russian attack on the capital resulted in four deaths and 20 injuries.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported that three rescuers from the State Emergency Service were among the dead, and nine others were injured. The total number of deaths is three, and the injured is around 40.
Ternopil
According to Vyacheslav Negoda, head of the Ternopil Oblast Military Administration, the overnight Russian attack was the most massive on Ternopil Oblast. He reported multiple hits, with specialists currently extinguishing fires and assessing the damage.
Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal specified that the Russians hit industrial and infrastructure facilities in the city. Residents heard the roar of burning gas from cylinders at an industrial site.
Parts of Ternopil were left without electricity, and water pressure decreased due to power outages. Additionally, the city experienced smoke, and authorities advised residents not to go outside.
Lutsk
In Volyn Oblast, Lutsk came under a massive drone and missile attack. In Lutsk, the Russians hit a multi-story residential building, causing partial destruction.

Several other buildings had their windows blown out by the blast wave. There were no fatalities in the city, but five people were injured and received assistance.
As of 8:57 AM, there are 15 injured due to the strike on the apartment building in Lutsk, hromadske was told by the State Emergency Service. The blast wave damaged surrounding private houses and a kindergarten.
In addition to Kyiv, Ternopil, and Volyn oblasts, the Russians also struck Khmelnytskyi Oblast. There, a private residential house, two outbuildings, a fence, and two cars were damaged. According to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration, there were no casualties reported.
Maxym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Oblast Military Administration, reported damage to an industrial facility in the Drohobych district. Additionally, several villages near Lviv experienced power line disruptions. There were no casualties reported.
Three more people were injured in Poltava Oblast. In the Kremenchuk district, the Russian attack damaged administrative buildings, storage facilities of several enterprises, and a café. Additionally, drone debris fell on a private house. There were no reported casualties.
