Ukraine hits Russian Tor, Osa missile factory with drones

Drones operated by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) struck the Kupol Electromechanical Plant in Izhevsk, Russia, which produces Tor and Osa air defense systems and Garpiya attack drones for Russian forces, a source within the SBU told hromadske on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, long-range drones targeted the plant’s production facilities and storage warehouses in the Udmurt Republic, over 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine.
The facility fulfills orders for Russia’s Defense Ministry, specializing in the production of Tor and Osa surface-to-air missile systems and developing Garpiya attack drones.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense portal “War and Sanctions,” the Kupol plant is under international sanctions as part of Russia’s military-industrial complex.
The SBU source told hromadske that at least two drone strikes hit the plant’s structures, sparking a fire.
