Drones attack Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, likely igniting substation and oil refinery

In the early hours of Monday, drones struck Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, sparking fires at a substation in Kropotkin and likely at an oil refinery in Ilsky, according to the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters.

The headquarters reported that a substation in Kropotkin caught fire, allegedly due to drone debris, with flames covering 80 square meters. The fire has been extinguished, but parts of the town lost power as a result.

Additionally, drones targeted the settlement of Ilsky, home to an oil refinery, where a fire likely broke out following the attack.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed that 50 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight, though Ukraine, accused of the attack, has not commented on the incidents.
