Russia launches 703 drones and missiles in two-wave attack on Ukraine

Russian troops launched 703 aerial targets — ballistic and cruise missiles plus strike drones — against Ukraine in two waves of combined attacks over a 24-hour period from 7 a.m. on Wednesday to 7 a.m. today, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

Air Force radar units detected and tracked:

  • 19 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
  • 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
  • 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
  • 659 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of strike drones.

As of 7:30 a.m., air defenses shot down or suppressed 667 enemy targets:

  • 19 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
  • 8 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
  • 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
  • 636 drones.

Strikes from 12 missiles and 20 drones were recorded at 26 locations, with debris from downed targets falling at 25 locations. Information on one cruise missile is still being clarified.
