Ukraine has struck Russian oil refineries 158 times — and only two major plants remain untouched

Ukraine has attacked at least 24 of Russia's 33 refineries with an annual production capacity exceeding 1 million tons of oil. Among the largest facilities that have remained out of reach are the Omsk and Angarsk refineries, both located beyond the Ural Mountains.

The Ryazan and Saratov refineries have been hit most frequently — 15 times each. The year 2025 saw a record number of strikes, and in 2026 Ukraine has already nearly matched its total strike count for all of 2024.
