Ukrainian military strikes oil refineries in Russia's Yaroslavl and Leningrad Oblast

Overnight into July 6, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two oil refineries on Russian territory. Critical Russian infrastructure in temporarily occupied Crimea was also hit, according to the General Staff and the Security Service (SBU).
The Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl came under attack. Explosions and smoke were recorded on the territory of the enterprise. According to the military, the Yaroslavl oil refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the country. The design capacity of the enterprise is 15 million tons of oil per year.
"The plant produces automobile gasolines, diesel and aviation fuel, lubricants and other products used, in particular, to ensure the military logistics of the aggressor state," the General Staff stated.
In addition, the Novatek-Ust-Luga oil refinery and the permanent deployment point of the enemy's 26th Missile Brigade in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast were hit. Ukraine’s Security Service also confirmed a successful strike on the oil loading terminal of the Vysotsk seaport in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast. As a result of the strike, two oil loading racks were put out of operation and three tanks with petroleum products were hit.
Drones also targeted the First Plant oil refinery in Kaluga Oblast. A fire broke out at the enterprise after the explosions.
At the same time, defenders attacked the light petroleum products transshipment terminal TES-Terminal-1 in temporarily occupied Kerch. There, according to the SBU, three hangars with aviation equipment at the Hvardiyske airfield were hit. An Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile system near Simferopol was also struck.
"The TES-Terminal-1 terminal is one of the largest complexes for storage and transshipment of light petroleum products in Crimea. The enterprise's tank farm ensures the reception, storage and shipment of gasoline, diesel fuel and other petroleum products, in particular for the needs of the occupation troops in the southern regions of Ukraine," the military stated.
The General Staff also reported strikes on a railway overpass near Dovzhansk, a Russian drone warehouse near Chervonopopivka and a military equipment cluster near Pysarivka in Luhansk Oblast.
