In the early hours of June 4, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 95 Shahed strike drones and various decoy UAVs. Ukraine's air defense systems successfully neutralized 61 of these targets, as reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian forces shelled Kirovohrad and Kharkiv oblasts overnight on Wednesday, injuring 11 civilians, including a 4-year-old girl, and damaging an industrial facility and dozens of homes, regional governors Andriy Raykovych and Oleg Synegubov reported.

Ukrainian air defenses destroyed all nine Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles and 288 of 355 Shahed and other drones launched overnight into May 26, with impacts reported in five locations, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
