Drones hit Russian oil hubs in Samara and Nizhny Novgorod oblasts
At least one person was killed and several others were injured after Ukrainian drones targeted oil facilities and industrial plants across multiple Russian regions and occupied territories overnight, Russian regional officials and local media reported.
A wave of drone strikes hit industrial sites in the Russian city of Novokuibyshevsk, resulting in at least one fatality and several injuries, according to Samara Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.
In the regional capital of Samara, drone debris fell onto an apartment building roof, causing injuries to pedestrians below and resulting in one hospitalization.
The strikes also reached the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, where witnesses filmed a massive fire at the Gorky oil pumping station in Kstovo. The facility is a critical hub for Transneft-Verkhnyaya Volga, a major operator of Russia's trunk oil pipelines.
While local officials have not commented on the Kstovo strike, social media footage shared by the ASTRA Telegram channel confirmed significant damage to the infrastructure.
Additional strikes targeted an oil depot in occupied Feodosia, Crimea, and an electrical substation in occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
